I read -
"Love is the GOAL, Life is the journey .........
Life is like a pilgrimage, and unless love is attained, it remains a pilgrimage, never reaching anywhere."
Definition of LOVE differs from person to person.

Totally agree definition of love differs from person to person but the feeling, the basic nature of love is the same.
Love is all about care, concern, support, sharing, providing, placing ur loved one's interests above ur's etc
Coming back to the above pilgrimage thing -:
By saying “Life is like… love is … anywhere”, again it is expecting things. See the holistic view. What is the aim of a pilgrimage, it could be to seek divine blessings, get positive vibrations from the place of pilgrimage, to wash away sins, wrong doings etc..
So let us take the first case “seek divine blessings” one can equate it to attain love.
But I would say, do not go in search of God, let God come in search of u. How is that possible, be so divine in ur thoughts, actions and deeds that divinity becomes a part of u.
Similarly, why do one go in search of love, let it come in search of u. Provide love and affection, do not expect things, be selfless in ur love, place and value love’s happiness and needs above urs and love will come in search of u… even if it does not come, one will have the satisfaction of having provided love.
As they say it is in giving that one receives….
But then again as said above in ur wonderful statement, i would slightly tweak it -""NO NEED TO OFFER LOVE TO SOMEONE..WHO DOES NOT CARE FOR IT OR DESERVE IT""
In the end i would say life is not about attaining love, it is more about providing love, it is about sharing and caring and not expecting, then life becomes a pilgrimage for others to come in search of u.
"Life is Love" or is it the other way round "Love is life", I would say life is love. Think there is a sea of difference between the 2 lines….
